We’ve launched a new Town Centre Working Group that brings partners together, cuts through duplication, and tracks real progress. By working smarter and more strategically, we’re pushing forward-thinking, forward-moving change that benefits everyone in the town centre.
For too long, conversations about the town centre have been happening in silos. Different groups, different meetings, no clear ownership. That’s why we’ve set up something new — and better.
The Mansfield Town Centre Working Group now meets every two months. It brings together:
- Mansfield Forward BID
- Mansfield District Council
- Nottinghamshire Police
- Town centre businesses
- Key stakeholders and community partners
The group replaces several fragmented meetings — combining town centre concerns, anti-social behaviour updates, event planning, regeneration discussions and more into one strategic forum.
Here’s how it works:
- Actions are tracked
- Updates are reviewed
- Issues are escalated and addressed collaboratively
- Progress is reported publicly wherever possible
This isn’t just another talking shop — it’s designed to actually get things done. We’re seeing early wins in joined-up communication, shared resourcing, and faster resolution of on-the-ground issues that matter to BID members.
