Investment Over Next Five Years

Mansfield Forward BID is one of over 340 BIDs operating in the UK and covers the core of Mansfield town centre.

Mansfield Forward BID is a not-for-profit organisation, established in 2009 and voted in for a fourth term in 2024 following a ballot of local businesses.

Each BID term runs for five years, generating around £1.9 million to reinvest into the town centre. The focus is to enhance, support, and promote.

BID members contribute annually to fund these improvements, as set out in the Mansfield Forward BID Business Plan.

Hello, I’m Jay Rowlinson

As the CEO of the BID, I manage the BID team and work with the company and its partners at a strategic level. My role involves regularly meeting with key stakeholders and partners across Mansfield, particularly in the town centre. These partners include Mansfield District Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, Nottinghamshire Police, and many more. I represent the collective voice of over 500 businesses in the town centre, which keeps me extremely busy and ensures that the interests of local businesses are heard and acted upon.

Being the voice of these businesses allows us to have a powerful influence in shaping the town centre’s future. A key part of my role is ensuring that government and public funds, alongside BID member levies, are spent wisely and deliver good value for money. This responsibility is always at the top of my agenda. Mansfield BID is a successful organisation, and following our recent ballot in November 2024, we secured an impressive 91% of members’ votes, placing us in the top 5% of BIDs nationally.

I am always keen to meet with members and organisations who believe they can support Mansfield BID or contribute to the growth of Mansfield town centre. If you think the BID can assist you, or if you believe you can help the BID or the town centre, I encourage you to get in touch with me directly or speak to one of our capable BID staff members.

Hello, I’m Sue Rogers

As Operations Manager at Mansfield Forward BID, I manage the daily running of the team and oversee the delivery of services, events, and internal operations. I’m responsible for the organisation’s finances, including banking, invoicing, payroll, QuickBooks, and keeping our internal systems running smoothly.

Alongside this, I lead the planning and coordination of town centre events—everything from arranging suppliers and equipment to ensuring compliance and managing logistics. I work closely with Collum to ensure our events are well-promoted across our digital channels.

I also manage BID office operations and staff administration, liaise regularly with strategic partners, and help secure sponsorships to support our programmes. My role is all about making sure Mansfield Forward BID delivers on its business plan commitments efficiently and professionally.

If you’re a BID member or local organisation looking to support our work or get involved in town centre activity, I’d be happy to speak with you.

Hello, I’m Daryl McGreade

As Outreach Manager at Mansfield Forward BID, my role focuses on building strong relationships with the businesses we support. I spend most of my time out in the town centre, visiting members, listening to concerns, and ensuring they’re aware of the free and subsidised services available through their BID membership.

I act as the main point of contact for day-to-day issues faced by town centre businesses—from security concerns and public space issues to promotional opportunities and service bookings. Whether it’s flagging issues with partners or connecting you with the right support, I make sure things are followed up quickly and effectively.

Alongside this, I contribute to project delivery across Mansfield Forward BID, including the utilisation of business and government grants—both through our members and to fund our own BID initiatives.

If you’d like me to pop in and see you, I’d be happy to—just drop me a message or give me a call.
