How I can help

I lead the BID, and my job is to stand up for you. When a decision by the council, the police, a landlord or a developer affects your business, I make sure they hear from you before it is made, and I keep pushing afterwards until things are put right.

I also look after the BID's plan, budget and board. If you want to know where your levy goes, or would like a say in where it goes next, please ask me. No question is too small.

Everything I can do for you

• Raise an issue with the council or police

  Tell us what is wrong. We take it to the people who can fix it, and stay with it until they do.

• Training for your team

  First aid, fire safety and business workshops for you and your staff, with the places left on each.

• A say in the BID's plan

  When a decision about a building affects your business, we speak up for you.

How I can help

I am out in the town centre every week, getting to know you and making sure your business has everything your levy pays for. I look after business support and safety: the radio network that links you to your neighbours, safe reporting of crime and anti-social behaviour, help when something goes wrong, and ways to save money, like group buying on utilities, waste and insurance.

If you are new to the BID, or not sure what you are entitled to, start with me. I am always happy to come to you.

• A visit to your business

  Half an hour with Daryl, at a time that suits you, to find the services that fit your business.

• Radio network and crime reporting

  Talk in real time with neighbouring businesses, and report incidents safely.

• Vacant unit support

  Help finding, filling or moving into an empty unit in the town centre.

• Save on utilities, waste and insurance

  Group buying that saves many members more than their levy each year.

• Help after an incident

  Someone to talk it through with, and practical help with what to do next.

How I can help

I look after the town centre's facilities and streets: the practical jobs that keep it clean, green and safe, and the help your levy pays for on your own premises.

If something needs testing, collecting, cleaning or fixing, tell me and I will arrange it at a time that suits you, with as little disruption to your day as I can.

• PAT testing

  Your electrical equipment tested and labelled, at a time that suits you.

• Cardboard collection

  Your cardboard collected and taken away, so it is off your floor and off the street.

• A free day of maintenance

  One free day of practical jobs on your premises every year, then extra days at a subsidised rate.

• Emergency help

  Something broken, unsafe or flooding on your premises? Tell us straight away, and we will help as quickly as we can.

• Jet washing

  Your shop front, doorway and pavement jet washed clean.

• Hanging baskets and greening

  Planting that makes your frontage and street feel cared for.

• A deep clean or grot spot

  Graffiti, litter or a dirty corner near you, cleaned up quickly.

Digital Promotions Support

How I can help

I look after marketing and digital, and my job is to help more people find you. I share your events, offers and news on the BID's and Mansfield NOW's channels, in our What's On video and on our podcast, and I look after the Member Pass and the email updates.

I can also sit down with you to refresh your own branding and online presence, from your website to your social media. You do not need to be an expert: that is what I am here for.
